Last year we began a new tradition in the parish – a Toy Service, at which parishioners brought gifts of new toys to be donated to homeless families with children in Prescot.
The tradition continues this year, with a family service on Sunday 24 November (Feast of Christ the King) at 10am in St Mary’s. After the service, the toys will be taken to Yates Court, an inspirational supported living project run by the Whitechapel Centre.
Here’s how you can take part:
- Buy one or more brand new toys for ages 0-13
- Place the toy(s) in a brand new gift bag (no need to wrap)
- Bring the toy(s) along to the Toy Service at 10am on Sunday 24 November
