We can’t wait for our new neighbours at the Shakespeare North Playhouse to celebrate their opening weekend.
They’ll begin the proceedings with a spectacular parade on Friday 15 July, when they’ve invited community groups from across Prescot – including the St Paul’s Coffee Morning – to don costumes and process through the town centre, from the flat iron building at the east end of Eccleston Street to the newly built theatre on Church Street. Find out all about the evening’s programme at shakespearenorthplayhouse.co.uk.
Then, while Shakespeare North provide a packed weekend of free family activities across the street, we’ll be opening Prescot Parish Church to visitors from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday 16 July and Sunday 17 July.
Drop in any time – entry is free! – to explore Knowsley’s only Grade I listed building, dating to 1610, the era of the original Prescot Playhouse. Enjoy the beautiful architecture, take a virtual tour, talk to one of our guides or spend a few moments in prayer or reflection.
